Day 11 on TR 90 – Clothes Getting Looser!

Carrie Pepper's Writing Cottage in Spring

Today is Day 11 on TR 90, the first genetic approach to weight management. For me, the best part about this has been the education in eating properly. I’ve always eaten fairly well, but I have never had 30 grams of protein 3 times per day and I have never had this kind of sustained energy.

Last night, I went to the gym. I walked faster and with more enthusiasm on the treadmill; I increased my free weights for my curls from 5 to 8 pounds and I didn’t mind going to the grocery store afterward!

This morning when I first awoke, the song playing in my head was “I AM WOMAN”  by Helen Reddy . . . ladies, you remember that song from the 70’s don’t you? I have to say, that although I can hear Helen singing that song clearly now some 40 years (can I be that old?!), I never looked at the lyrics.

I am woman, hear me roar

In numbers too big to ignore

And I know too much to go back an’ pretend

‘Cause I’ve heard it all before

And I’ve been down there on the floor

No one’s ever gonna keep me down again

Oh yes, I am wise

But it’s wisdom born of pain

Yes, I’ve paid the price

But look how much I gained

If I have to, I can do anything

I am strong

I am invincible

I am woman

You can bend but never break me

‘Cause it only serves to make me

More determined to achieve my final goal

And I come back even stronger

Not a novice any longer

‘Cause you’ve deepened the conviction in my soul

I am woman watch me grow

See me standing toe to toe

As I spread my lovin’ arms across the land

But I’m still an embryo

With a long, long way to go

Until I make my brother understand

Oh yes, I am wise

But it’s wisdom born of pain

Yes, I’ve paid the price

But look how much I gained

If I have to, I can face anything

I am strong

I am invincible

I am woman

I love the line:

“More determined to achieve my final goal.”

The TR 90 program says it’s for MIND, BODY, BUSINESS.  I can feel it deep down and I

am

more determined to achieve my final goal.  What are your goals in life? The deep-down ones you’ve squelched because you didn’t believe they were possible?  ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.  Come take a look at what we’re doing — a strong group of entrepreneurial women (we’ll let the right men in, too) around the globe . . .joining forces to make our lives – and the lives of others – the best they can be!
